The first and most important consideration for the creation of of a blissful, restorative night’s sleep is how well you de-stress in the day. Exercise is the supreme stress reliever followed by conscious breathing followed by meditation.

Exercise: Do your aerobic exercise in the morning. Then a nice brisk walk after dinner to commune with the earth and stars, maybe your dog? will feel great and aid in digestion too.

Conscious breathing: As many times a day as possible, like every time you get up from your computer or every time you pass through a doorway or every time your boss comes near your desk, breathe in as slowly and as deeply as possible, exhale and release your jaw, neck, shoulders. Continue until you really feel that tension melting away.

Meditation: Morning and night meditation is a very good ritual but night is especially good for preparation to sleep. Create a bedtime ritual. Make your bedroom as peaceful an environment as possible. If you like taking bathes, maybe a soothing bath followed by journal writing. Write about all the amazing and beautiful things that happened or some affirmations. Every day in every way I’m healthier and healthier. Every day in every way I’m stronger and stronger. Every day in every way I’m more and more energetic. After affirmations, meditation. Releasing tensions, letting any thoughts of the day float past. Then listen to Restful Sleep CD:) and drift off to sleep.

Hypnosis:  In this relaxed focused state, I will teach you self hypnosis to help create not just a peaceful night but a peaceful day as well.  Visualization is a powerful tool of the subconscious, creating a loving and content sleep environment in your mind like the softest bed you've ever imagined, you begin to create that contentment in your body as well.  Imagine soft blankets, so thin and delicate, floating down, down, down from the sky, landing and adding layers and layers of peace.  Then see yourself in every detail waking in the morning, every muscle, organ, and cell repaired and rejuvenated.

Take flight: Learn how to control thoughts of past, future, worry, fears, limiting beliefs so that they don't disturb you day or night.  Gently and with blessings let each and every thought float away.  Turn it into a bird or butterfly and with gratitude let it float away until invisible.

See each little muscle: After all your thoughts have taken flight, start to relax each part of your body.  See every little muscle, tendon, ligament.  Breathe in and imagine breathing in space where there was once tension.  Each relaxing muscle adding to your rest, adding to your health, adding to this peaceful sleep you are creating.

What will a session be like: As with most hypnosis sessions, we usually begin with the Emotional Freedom Technique which is excellent for releasing negative emotions.   Then the actual hypnosis session will be one designed especially for you.  The components of seeing yourself in the future, using your own words to describe how you want to feel and how you want to look are very powerful creators of change in the subconscious mind.  The subconscious is a See It, Create It genius!  Also visualizations like the ones I described above combined with mantra and breath techniques are included.  After the hypnosis session, I will teach you some easy meditations that will add to your abilities to continually, every moment of every day,  relieve stress and negative thought patterns.  I will also teach you techniques for gently falling back to sleep if you wake in the night.
