You can feel it in your shoulders, neck and jaw. You can sense it in your shallow breathing, pounding heart, and grinding teeth. It affects your sleep, your memory and your eating habits, ultimately your health.

Stress strains our bodies, inhibiting self healing, suppressing immune function, producing stress hormones.
Stress strains our minds, making us less intuitive, less creative, less joyous.

We're so used to a certain level of stress that we don't even realize how much healthier we could be by just calming our bodies and minds.
Right now for instance as you're reading this your mind is engaged but do your shoulder muscles really need to be tensed? Do a quick scan of your body, head to toe. Are you surprised at how much tension is in your leg muscles? Or just imagine you get up from your chair and walk into the other room----where is your mind? Is it still thinking about what you just read or is it peaceful and calm?

Hypnosis can help. Hypnosis takes you to a deep level of relaxation free from repetitive thought, free from physical tension. In the hypnotic state you will release old patterns, emotions, negative energy, beliefs that aren't serving your perfect health and happiness. With hypnosis, breathwork and meditation you will learn how to manage stress by quickly bringing yourself back to calm whenever external events create tension in your body. You will be in touch with your body and mind, noticing tension or self defeating thoughts, releasing and replacing. Releasing tension with breath. Replacing negative self talk with empowering words and visions of the life you want to create.

1st session, 1 1/2 hours First prioritize the changes you want to make. What are they? How will you know when you've achieved them? What will that feel like? I use your own words in the hypnosis session to create the changes you want. In the case of stress management, a big part is visualizing yourself continually throughout your day releasing stress through breathing. Seeing yourself taking 5 slow, deep breaths every time you stand up from your chair is a powerful picture of calm empowerment. The feeling of being more in control, radiating outward is a motivator for change. I will teach you how to release emotions through breath and energy work. Your homework will be to listen to a relaxing CD every night before bed as well as journal all your successes with mindful thought and breathing. Don't worry, this is less than 15 minutes of your day and contributes to a positive mind state right before sleep.

2nd session, 1 1/2 hours. Answer any questions that came up during the week. Again going through the changes you'd like to make. It's always interesting how quickly some things change which creates a feeling of wanting to explore other changes.* The hypnosis session is fine tuned with seeing yourself in specific situations more and more easily acting instead of reacting. Seeing yourself develop the life long habit of meditation and observing your thought patterns. Replacing the mind habit of catatrophizing. with the habit of observing and releasing thoughts that do not serve your perfect health and happiness.  Same homework as session 1, CD every night with journal writing.

*Even though things can change quickly more repetitions are needed to make the changes part of your default. That's why you'll get another CD to listen to!

3rd session, 1 hour  Hypnosis for more repetitions, relaxation, and visualizing.  Visualizing yourself using your tools of meditation and breathwork daily.  Cultivating habits of stress management every moment of your day.  All we have are these present moments.  True enjoyment comes from noticing and accepting all things in the now.  And another CD to listen to!
